Procedure: Processing fee for general candidate is Rs.1000/- & for S.C. / S.T. / S.E.B.C. candidate of Gujarat processing fee is Rs.250/-.The application should be submitted online from website www.aau.in after downloading the bank challan and payment of processing fee in cash in any of the branch of State Bank of India. Bank challan can be filled up from the date 27/08/2012. Online form submission can be done during 28/08/2012 to 12/09/2012. After paying the fees in the bank the form can be filled up online next day after 14.00 hrs. (for example: if you have paid the fees in bank through challan on the date : 27/08/2012 then you can online submit form on 28/08/2012 after 14.00 hrs.) The print copy of the application supported with attested copies of certificates, pertaining to the qualifications and experience accompanied with the copy of the bank chalan deposited in State Bank of India should reach to the Registrar, AAU, Anand on or before Dt.17/9/2012. The University reserves its right not to fill-in all or any post if deems necessary. The reservation of posts is for the candidates of Gujarat origin only, therefore other state candidates need not apply against the reserved posts. SEBC candidate should furnish current year's "Non– Creamy-layer Certificate" in prescribed format along with the online application form. In case of non-availability of women candidates, the post so reserved will be allotted to the male candidate of the same category. Relaxation up to five years in upper age limit shall be admissible only to reserved categories and for women candidates it will be ten years and for physically handicapped persons as per the criteria prescribed by Govt. of Gujarat.

M.Tech/M.Sc in (Agricultural Engineering with specialization in soil and water conservation engineering, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering and Water Resources Development and Management)/ Water management/Agricultural Physics/ Remote Sensing and GIS/ Environmental Sciences / Geoinformatics / Civil Engineering/ Hydrology /Agricultural Statistics /Computer application in Agriculture / Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Science/(Water Science and Technology with B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering). Proficiency in use of crop and water management models, geospatial tools and development of softwares/Decision Support Systems in Visual Basic (VB)/.NET/C/C++/Java programming languages.

Desirable: Publications of research work pertaining to application of GIS and Remote Sensing tools, models and decision support systems in Irrigation water management in rice and wheat crop. Activity will be to use the geospatial tools to prepare the data base for simulation of crop models and subsequent development of the Decision Support System using programming language.

Expertise in conduction of field experiments and acquisition, analysis, digitization and interpretation of experiment generated or secondary data sources.

Desirable: Experience of analysis of soil, water and plant samples in the laboratory, Acquisition of data from field experiments and farmers’ fields and interpretation of acquired data. Publications of research work pertaining to Irrigation water management of rice and wheat crops.  Activity will be to undertake field investigations,acquisition of primary and secondary data pertaining to crop growth from the study area and subsequent digitization and analysis of data including cost benefit analysis. Use of statistical and MS spreadsheet and word processing software is also desirable. Associated activity of the SRF will be to visit the study area and the co‐operating centre for data collection and subsequent analysis.
